Pulau Pinang : PETRONAS yesterday donated a year’s supply of cooking gas, gas stoves and food hampers to the Little Sisters of the Poor’s home for the elderly to assist in its preparation to celebrate the Chinese New Year and for the daily water heating purposes and meal preparations for its residents.
Puan Sri To’ Puan Noraini Mohd Yusoff, the President of PETRONITA (the Association of Wives of Staff and Lady Staff of PETRONAS), today visited the centre on behalf of PETRONAS and presented a mock liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank to the Mother Superior to signify the corporation’s donation. The gas will be supplied on a monthly basis for a period of one year by PETRONAS’ retail and marketing arm, PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd. PETRONAS also donated four double-burner gas stoves to help increase the efficiency of the kitchen operations and to provide healthy nourishing meals for the residents.
The hampers consist of various food items such as rice, coffee, sugar, fortified drink, canned sardines and cereal. It is hoped that the hampers will help add to the basic daily needs of the elderly in the centre. Continue Reading
