PETRONAS AWARDED FOUR EXPLORATION BLOCKS IN MYANMAR
PETRONAS, Malaysia’s national oil corporation, has been awarded four Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) for Blocks M-15, M-16, M-17 and M-18 offshore Myanmar by the government of the Union of Myanmar.
The contracts were signed today in Yangon, Myanmar, by PETRONAS President and Chief Executive Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Hassan Marican and Myanmar’s Deputy Minister of Energy U Tin Tun. The ceremony was witnessed by Malaysia’s Prime Minister Dato Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Myanmar’s Secretary-1 Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt. (more…)
PETRONAS SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH PERTAMINA FOR NEW GAS SUPPLY FROM INDONESIA
PETRONAS and its Indonesian counterpart PERTAMINA today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the conclusion of a Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) from South Sumatra to Malaysia.
The MoU also involves PERTAMINA’s production sharing contractors which operate certain onshore gas fields in South Sumatra identified to supply the gas to Malaysia. These contractors are Gulf Resources, YPF and Santos. Under the MoU, PETRONAS will be accorded equity participation in the production sharing contracts for the identified fields. (more…)
PETRONAS RECEIVES FIRST GAS FROM WEST NATUNA: CEREMONY WITNESSED BY DR MAHATHIR AND PRESIDENT MEGAWATI
PETRONAS today received the delivery of first natural gas from West Natuna, Indonesia, marking a key milestone in the relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as between PETRONAS and its Indonesian counterpart PERTAMINA.
The historic occasion was witnessed by the heads of both countries, Prime Minister Dato Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad and President Megawati Soekarnoputri, at a ceremony held at Istana Tampaksiring in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. (more…)
