PETRONAS SIGNS ENGINE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH BRP-ROTAX

Petronas Offshore Oil & Gas Latest NewsPETRONAS recently signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with BRP-ROTAX of Austria to further develop and commercialise PETRONAS’ high performance engine family. Under the agreement, the engines will be developed for commercialisation in BRP-ROTAX’s facility in Gunskirchen, Austria commencing November 2005.The JDA is a follow-up from the Framework Agreement and Letter of Intent that were signed in March and July respectively this year, formalising the mutual intent of both parties to explore the commercial feasibility of the PETRONAS engine technology and to establish a long-term strategic partnership. PETRONAS SPONSORS BMW SAUBER F1 TEAM, SIGNS AGREEMENT AS TEAM’S PREMIUM PARTNER

Petronas Offshore Oil & Gas Latest NewsPETRONAS today announced its sponsorship of the BMW SAUBER F1 Team, extending its long-standing arrangement with SAUBER to the new BMW-managed Team. The agreement between PETRONAS and BMW formalising the new partnership was signed in Kuala Lumpur today.Under the terms of the agreement, PETRONAS will become a Premium Partner to the BMW SAUBER Formula One Team starting in 2006. With the exclusive rights of a Premium Partner to the Team, PETRONAS will be able to continue its existing activities in the prestigious motor sport and enjoy all the marketing and advertising benefits the sport has to offer. PETRONAS EMPLOYEES’ GOODWILL VISIT TO ACHEH

Petronas Offshore Oil & Gas Latest NewsA group of PETRONAS‘ employees recently went on a goodwill “mission” to Banda Acheh, visiting some 900 orphans and 80 families whose lives and livelihood have forever changed since last December’s tsunami.The group was led by Puan Sri Datin Sri Noraini Mohd Yusoff, the wife of the President and CEO of PETRONAS Tan Sri Dato Sri Mohd Hassan Marican. Puan Sri Noraini is also the President of PETRONITA (the Wives and Women Staff Association of PETRONAS). The group handed over cash and other donations amounting to RM550,000 to the unfortunate children and families to help ease their situation. About RM380,000 of the cash donation was collected from PETRONAS’ employees, following a fund-raising exercise initiated by PETRONITA. The rest of the donations came from PETRONITA and PETRONAS.
