PETRONAS is pleased to inform that China’s carmaker Nanjing Automobile Corporation (NAC) and Brilliant Culture Group Limited (BCG) have reached an agreement to jointly manufacture PETRONAS’ EO1 engine for commercial use. Malaysia LNG Tiga Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PETRONAS, has signed Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA) with Shanghai LNG Company Ltd to supply up to 3.03 million metric tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually for 25 years.
The SPA was signed on 31 July 2006. The deal was officially announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the Premier of China, His Excellency Wen Jiabao in Nanning, China during the bilateral meeting on 30 October 2006. Continue Reading

Please be informed that a fatality incident had occurred on the 16th.October at approx. 1500 hrs.
Four riggers assigned on the temporary working platform for the installation of the boom vent. The boom vent collapsed and subsequently the 4 riggers fell down. The incident has resulted one fatality and 3 injuries. The degree of the injurious victims are subject to the confirmation.
The purpose of this Early Safety alert is to disseminate incident sharing within our operations as LL and immediate corrective action to ensure similar incident will not repeated.
Please put extra effort and initiatives to our current and remaining works specially for risers installation in ensuring hazards and risks associated with the works are properly managed.
Special attention by all parties is required especially to the temporary working platform, staging and to any of the temporary installation aids that will be and being used in our operations. Pre task and on the job inspection shall be carried out continuously. This shall be frequently checked during bad weather of any form.
Pls share this incident with all crews and all spread vessels within your operations. The further detail incident information will be cascade to all once we receive official incident sharing.
