Prior To Putting the test Separator Online the following had to be done.

• Ensure the entire drain valves are closed.
• Ensure instrumentation manual block valve vent lines are closed.
• Ensure that all safety devices are not override except low pressure and low level override.
• Ensure all the instrumentation is on line.
• Ensure the senior orifice plates are in place.

Routine Operational Check On the Fuel Gas System: -
Routine Operational Checks by Area Technician and CCR operator: Fuel Gas Supply Header.F-6040 And F-6010, Fuel Gas Start-up Heater/ Fuel Gas Super Heater.
Reference: PI&D F-0203

• Ensure local pressure and temperature indicator reading tally with DCS reading.
• Ensure the operating pressure and temperature as per plant parameters. Temperature should be maintain at 45 degrees C.
• Check for any sign of leaks and abnormalities at the heat exchanger shells and connections.
• V-6020 Fuel Gas Scrubber.Reference: PI&D F-0204
• Ensure local pressure, level and temperature indicator reading tally with DCS reading.
• Ensure the pressure control valves PCV-6020A/B are operational. Stroke if necessary, check for the traveling and also for any sign of leaks.
• Ensure the operating pressure and temperature are at 3660 Kpag and temperature is at 40 degrees C.
• Ensure the level control valve LCV-6020 is functioning. Stroke if necessary, check for any sign of leakage. (more…)
