Example of Non-Compliances with Offshore Safety Requirement.

Watch closely the above video and lets identify some HSE anomalies. Here is some that i manage to catch;

None of these riggers wear Work Vest

Bunch of riggers working without safety vest. I believe safety vest is mandatory while working on transportation barge. Here is what safety vest is look like;

Below : Working in low light. Not enough lighting!

Works in low light.  Not enough lighting dude!

Below : Cant say more. The picture speaks for it self.

Sleeping Divers.  Doing what they do best.

Finally Most obvious one.  Stay away from the handrail dudes.  You got hanging PLEM + Pipeline behind you.

 Watch again the video and you might spot more noncompliance to safety.  Work Safe Dude!.  COME IN ONE PIECE & BACK IN ONE PIECE. NOT IN PIECES!

    OSHA can be a pain to always comply with on these rigs. I’m sure some of the stuff is camera issues (like the appearance of low lighting).

    Also, give a guy a break who’s trying to take a nap :)

    Iyup thats ‘normal’ for air diver to fell asleep on their standby chair. BTW, diving area is considered low hazard (Most of the time) but they do have a lot of sensitive equipment. Valves, Gauges & more valves…

    I believe the video was taken during DLB on standby. its okay to find activity to ‘kill’ time during standby but Safety is always no. 1.
