The Procedure describes the OIC proposed installation sequences and procedures for Fixed Offshore Platform using Derrick Barge/HLV.

“Up till now, i’ve experienced installing fixed offshore platforms utilizing DB30 (Mc Dermott), Kuroshio 1 (Nippon Steel), DLB 264 (Global Industries), Castoro 8 (Saipem – Im not directly involved in this specific Barge)”

Sometimes Site conditions changes in offshore.  Therefore site  work plans will be adjusted to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment and Clients facilities as well as to expedite the work in order to best suit the prevailing conditions.   But all this changes must be/sometimes consulted with its onshore management and the Client designated offshore representatives. Following agreement between all parties, this procedure may be varied accordingly. All variation will be documented as per CLIENT Standard.

The main objectives for any procedure written is to always ensure the job is executed safely.  Fatal accidents do happened offshore.  Well written procedure is a basic foundation for safe offshore execution.!  Always Safety First!
