Pipeline Installation : The Installation Summary

This section briefly summarized Client aset involved in the pipeline installation programme & also some important extract from the Pipeline Engineering Field Data Book. Here is an example of the installation summary incorporated in this section of the procedure;

  • Start-up at Platform A (Coordinates of Center of Jacket) : N 1562604.0 ft, E 11909846.0 ft
  • Laydown at Platform B (Coordinates of Center of Platform) : N 1951521.0 ft, E 795009.0 ft
  • Exact Pipeline Start-up at KP 155.545 : N 1951521.0 ft, E 795009.0 ft
  • Exact Pipeline Lay-Down at KP 0.020 : N 1562689.3 ft, E 1109742.5 ft
  • Pipeline Crossings Coordinates :
    • Crossing 1 (Crossed 32″ dia. PLC/PLD pipeline) at KP 5.586 N 1567405.4 ft, E 1099344.8 ft Approximate Joint No. 12292
    • Crossing 2 (Crossed InterAsia 8″ Power Cable) at KP 1.768 N 15777703.5, E 1106476.4 ft ft Approximate Joint No. 12605
  • Tension during Pipelay : Variable from 140 kips to 240 Kips
  • StingerStern Elevations : Variable from -27.32m to -21.88m

From the data above, everyone is now aware changes required along the way. Stinger shack well aware of the variable changes on his stinger stern elevations, rigger can plan their crossing equipment & rigging & etc. Above all, the Field Engineer should prepare the daily plan in form of Action List, Info Sharing during Toolbox & inside daily progress meeting.
