Tag No: V-1020, Crude Test Separator.
Prior To Putting the test Separator Online the following had to be done.

• Ensure the entire drain valves are closed.
• Ensure instrumentation manual block valve vent lines are closed.
• Ensure that all safety devices are not override except low pressure and low level override.
• Ensure all the instrumentation is on line.
• Ensure the senior orifice plates are in place.
• Ensure all blow down valves are close.

Ensure SDS and FGS system are active and no fire and gas shutdown triggered to trip the Vessel

• Bleed all the drain/catch pot for the transmitters.
• Open SDV-1023 at Bridge to production separator
• Open SDV-1022, for liquid outlet.
• Open SDV-1025, for gas outlet.
• Open SDV-1024, hydrocarbon inlet
• Open SDV-1026, water outlet
• Open block valve at the inlet loading line.
• When pressure is equalized with the test header, check for any leak on test separator.
• Then, open the main block valve, close manual block and globe valve at loading line.
• Slowly, open globe valve to start pressurized the test separator.
• When pressure is equalized with the test header, check for any leak on test separator.
• Then, open the main block valve, close manual block and globe valve at loading line.

Now, test separator ready for well test.

To Divert Well into the test separator a two way communication between the control room and the field personnel is required to ensure the following is done correctly :-

1. The CCR personnel will identify which well to be tested from the monthly well test list.
2. Field personnel to communicate and confirm with CCR which well to divert into test separator, reading such as pressure, temperature to be relayed to the CCR personnel.
3. At flow line header, slowly open block valve to the test header.
4. When the test header fully open, slowly close the production header block valve.
5. Check the vessel pressure and gas flow rate registered by the meter.
