Job Vacancies – Junior Field Engineer
From Left : Rigger, Leaderman, Field Engineer (Now Operation Engineer), Superintendent, Barge Foreman, Rigger Foreman, Anchor Foreman, Safety Officer
Last week I’ve been given piles of resumes to perform the ‘First Filter’ for candidates of Junior Field Engineer. Only about 1% pass my filter. The 1% again will be reviewed by my direct boss GM of RESQHSE Business Unit (Risk-Engineering Support-Quality-HSE). Since I’ve receive many emails from visitor of this web; asking about any jobs vacancies… Here is the qualification required to pass the 1st Filter for Junior Field Engineer position ;
- Male
- 27 yrs old or younger
- Single
- Malaysian
- Degree in Mechanical or Civil or Others but must be related to Pipeline & Heavy Lift
- CGPA 3.0 and Above (Gred B+ & Above)
- Willing to work offshore 3 months continuously
If you unable to satisfy the above requirement, please don’t sent your resume. BUT there is an EXCEPTION though; Those who have minimum 1 year experience working with other company related with Offshore Construction is HIGHLY recommend to apply. Here is the requirement for those who have Offshore Oil & Gas Industry Experience;
- Minimum 1 year experience related to Offshore Construction.
- Have been offshore.
- Male.
- 27 Yrs old or younger.
- Single
- Degree in any Engineering
- Willing to work offshore 3 months continuously
So, here is my tip to those are not qualified based on the above requirement. Try work with other small oil & gas support company. Once you have 1 year of experience, you can try apply to join the Main Contractor. Sent you resume to (xxxxx|a|xxxxx.com) - Received enough qualified CVs. TQ for the submission.

Dont Know. Yesterday i’ve heard 8 candidates was reached the final stage process. But the interview is still going on. i’ll close this post next week since got so many emails now. which most of them are very good & even some of them are Malaysian student from overseas.
Thank you for all the support & will hope this post will help the company to develop the human capital. If you watch the news yesteday (After the AGM).. The company will invest another USD 200m to buy asset and expand the operations to middle east. Currently the company is executing the contract in India. Browse the internet to get the official news from the Company.

Dont know, if you are in the first choice group, then expect phone call within 1 month. If you are in the KIV list, then have to wait if there is any rejection from the first choice group. Lay time about 2-3 months. But again, im not in position to advise you this since it is all depend on the company HR department.

Why is the vacancies restricted to Male only. I have 3 yrs offshore experience (longest stay offshore was 50 days) and nothing was wrong.

As far as i know, there is no requirement for Chemical Engineer since the main business of SapuraCrest is TRANSPORTATION & INSTALLATION of offshore facilities. There for the core discipline would be Civil & Mechanical…
Nuar.. Why limit your self to Sapura?
There is a lot more oil & gas companies out there… Sapura is only one of them…

Appreciate if you wish to share some input on offshore pipe line weld inspection using this so called Phase Array or Automated Ultrasonic testing.
Have you encounter these inpection method at offshore before?Did Sapura had established their own team/department to cater this kind of inspection?
