Permanent subsea pipeline repairs are easier, safer and take less time with Smart Flange Plus® Connectors. The product offers diverless installation and weldless pipeline repairs. Available worldwide, the connectors are stocked in a variety of sizes from 2 in to 24 in pipeline diameters. 48in custom connectors have also been delivered. All are type approved by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
The connectors are installed utilizing Oceaneering atmospheric diving systems (ADS) or remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). No other special equipment or trained personnel is required.

For the end section of abandoned pipeline, i would suggest used only bitumen mattress to cover the ‘end opening’. Cheap and reliable and also it can act as an ‘anchor’ to your abandoned line end….
