Subsea Pipeline Installation : Spool Installation

Here is the summary of OIC responsibility on the scope of Spool Installation during typical shallow water pipelay operations:

Setting-up the installation spread for pipeline/PLEM tie-in operations.

Fabricate and hydrotest the tie-in spool. Coating and wrapping tie-in spools including joints and bends as required.

Lowering, aligning, installing and positioning spools on the seabed.

Locating Pipeline ends, cutting off and connecting the expansion spools to the Pipelines and connection with PLEM(s).

Installing all flanged tie-in connnections with appropriate hydraulic bolt tensioning equipment.

Carrying out ROV surveys as directed by client before, during and after spools and pipelines tie-in operations.
