Work hard my friend! Quality Control / Quality Assurance Inspector (Multi Discipline)
These are my friends offshore. From various department, Welder & QA/QC
For those who interested joining the QA/QC Offshore department, below are some info taken from most of CLIENT Requirement.
- Position :
- Quality Control Inspector (Multi Discipline – Welding, Painting, NDE)
- Description, Roles and Responsibilities
- Implementation, and supervision of all Procedures and Work Instructions
- Implementation and supervision of all Sub-Contractor’s Quality Plans, Inpection Plan, Procedures and Work Instructions.
- maintaining records of calibration, inspection and testing equipment.
- maintaining the latest revision of all Contract Documents, Drawings, Specifications, Standards, required for Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Inspection.
- Control, management and execution of all specified inspection activities as per inspection, specification and codes, withness procedures and tests and interpret result accurately.
- Qualifications & Requirement
- Graduate (B.Sc. Eng./ BE/ B.Tech.) In Mechanical or Metallugical Engineering
- Shall possess CSWIP 3.2 / AWS CWI/SCWI for welding inspection.
- Shall posses BGAS / ERS II or equivalent in NACE for painting inspection.
- Certified ASNT level II in all applicable NDE techniques which are relevant to the nature of work in the project.
- Shall have a minimum of 8 years of quality control and inspection experience in construction industries out of which 5 years shall be gained in offshore oil and gass facility construction.
- For Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) or shrink sleeve or glass reinforced Epoxy materials works, supplier shall mobilize and deploy appropriately qualified and suitably trained (from TWI) personnel for quality control and inpection of these works.
I believe if you have these requirement than you will be the QC manager instead. he he he… it is hard to find those who have the above qualification for the post of QC inspector.
